What Rotary Hospice means to me
I am honoured to be part of the team at Rotary Hospice. I began my nursing career only six years ago and have been at the hospice since the doors opened in July 2019.
I have always had a deep interest and passion for palliative care and I feel privileged to be able to give back to members of the community and surrounding area and aim to provide the best care possible.
At what is a very difficult time, residents, families, staff and volunteers come together to create a unique and supportive community within the walls of Rotary Hospice. Even though we have a community inside our doors, the support from the surrounding community is just as important. Communities bring love and hope, even in the most challenging of times.
Hospice focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of an individual who is approaching the end of life. I consider being able to support someone during this vulnerable stage both a great privilege and honour. I am proud to say I am a member of the clinical care team at Rotary Hospice.
